Lance Williams

Class of 2000 – Inducted into the High School Football Hall of Fame, 2026 A name etched in the lore of Friday night lights, Lance Williams was the heart and soul of the 2000 championship-bound Hillcrest Titans. Known for his explosive speed, relentless motor, and quiet leadership, Lance left an undeniable legacy on and off the field. As a starting running back and defensive back, Lance capped off his senior season rushing for 1,987 yards and 22 touchdowns, while also snagging 6 interceptions on defense. His dynamic versatility made him one of the most feared two-way players in the state. His performances earned him All-State First Team honors, Conference Player of the Year, and a spot on the Prep All-American Watchlist. But stats only tell part of the story. Lance was a true leader—a player who led by example, inspired teammates, and played through pain with unwavering commitment. His iconic 75-yard touchdown run in the state semifinals, where he broke six tackles and outran the entire secondary, remains one of the most replayed moments in school history. After high school, Lance continued his football journey at the collegiate level, playing at a Division II powerhouse, where he earned a degree in Sports Management and mentored young athletes in underserved communities. Tonight, we honor Lance Williams not only for his unforgettable achievements on the gridiron, but for the character, grit, and sportsmanship he displayed every time he wore the blue and gold. Welcome to the Hall, #21. Once a Titan, always a Titan.
